Eddie brought us a gingerbread village- okay I'm a day early sorry! I took this tonight before heading off to bed! Tomorrow is going to be crazy busy but so fun! I'm hoping since its a village and not one house there will be less fussing. The kids tend to get cranky when I try to do the crafts...this way I can have my own house =0P

Today Eddie was found in the tree- yeah I know we've used that once or ten times...its a quick stashing place when you awake in a panic realizing you didn't move the freaking elf...Today Eddie was kind enough to bring the kids matching pj's with reindeers on them. I was a bit afraid Jaxon would be too cool for them, however he liked them the best- the kid loves comfy pj's just like his Momma! He even asked to wear them to school tomorrow!

Now don't be alarmed I'm not sending him to school to be mocked in pj's! His whole class will be wearing them, they are having a 'Polar Express' party where they are making pancakes, drinking cocoa and such. He's looking forward to it alot!

Cade is having his first Christmas program- he's sooooo excited! The kids get to dress up any way they like as long as it has to do with Christmas. Cade is going to be a toy soldier- the most adorable one ever! Oh and he added a toy solider to his Santa list last night , he's trying to kill his poor Momma and he doesn't even know it!

And you see those hampers by the tree, I keep leaving them out and Eddie keeps ignoring the hint to help out with the chores lol!

I admit Mommy might have fell asleep on the job last night...however Daddy quickly helped Eddie to a new location on the wall. He wanted to turn the pictures upside down but he said there was no way to hang the frame that way...I mentioned he could have just flipped the picture inside the frame, but that's the difference in how we think lol!

Cade was the leader the other day and asked me to make Frosty the Snowman Cupcakes. I worked all day on them then the little turkey didn't even eat one at snack time.... next time he's getting oreo's!

Day 8 Sledding fun!

Friday morning the boys will find Eddie and Chippy above the cabinets in the Christmas decor sledding with the snowman! Yesterday was also the first day of our advent calendar. The boys get a small treat and then we do a family activity together. Yesterday we wrote letters to Santa and Eddie took them to the North Pole to us. Today's activity is to make ornaments!

Seems Eddie wants us to get our tree decorated already! We've been waiting for Jaxon to get home so we could hang all of our ornaments! Cade is not very happy for Eddie, he told Eddie to leave the tree alone! Can't wait to see where he ends up tomorrow!

Can you believe its already time for our favorite elf to come back? Me either! Where did the year go? The boys are really excited for all the fun and silliness Eddie brings and this year he won't disappoint! He's got lots of tricks and a few treats up his sleeves! I hope you will check back in to see all the fun we have with Eddie, and starting December 1st we will also be doing our 25 days of Christmas activities!

So this is where we found Eddie today in the front room by the TV-- did you know he's famous? Mister big stuff himself has his own movie tonight on CBS at 7:30pm, he brought the kids their favorite holiday themed candy and some popcorn- too bad Jaxon is at Nanie's house! I sure hope Cade can stay on the nice list and not eat his brothers candy!!

Eddie brought the boys a letter telling them how much he missed them, to continue their good behavior, and all about his movie. He also managed to find some 'Eddie' sized candy of his own! I wonder where he will be tomorrow? Perhaps he'll show up and put the tree up while we sleep lol!

Sophie Belle was born yesterday March 28th! We headed to the hospital at 5:00am for my induction (Just hoping they could get us in, we weren't sure until that morning when we got there) I was 3cm and 50% to start off and Sophie was sunny side up, pit was started at 7:00am and had some pretty good contractions but needed to get to a four to get my epi. At 10:30am I was finally a 4 and in a lot of pain. Pit contractions were really strong it took the man an hour (it seemed) to get to my room to give me the epi then it took him four tries to get it in the right spot. After I got it though my labor was wonderful! At 1:00pm I felt some pressure and asked to be checked, but wasn't for about 45 minutes and by then was complete- they had me start pushing. After three contractions and only six minutes Sophie slid right out and had turned at some point during my labor.

Sophie Belle was 7lbs 13oz, 18 inches long and perfect! We are so in love with her, she is my smallest baby her big brothers were 8 lbs 6 oz, and 8lbs 13 oz, all were 18 inches long.

Dear Non-Pregnant Person,

I hope you find these guidelines helpful in your interactions with pregnant women, as failing to follow them may result in serious physical harm. If you are thinking, surely she doesn’t mean me – then you should probably read this twice.

1. The appropriate response to a couple telling you they are having a baby is ‘Congratulations!’ with enthusiasm. Any other response makes you a jerk.

2. Through the wonders of science, we now know that babies are made ONLY by the mother and father – not grandparents. Unless the baby is in your uterus or you are the man that helped put it there, you may not ever use the phrase ‘my baby’.

3. On the same note, unless you made the baby as defined in 2, the pregnancy, birth, and raising of the child are not about you. You do not have input. No one wants to hear your opinion unless they ask for it…

4. The body of a pregnant woman should be treated the same as any other body. You would not randomly touch someone’s stomach if they were not pregnant, nor would you inquire into the condition of their uterus, cervix, or how they plan to use their breasts. Pregnancy does not remove all traces of privacy from a woman.

5. Likewise, no woman wants to hear comments on her weight…ever. A pregnant woman does not find it flattering that you think she is about is pop, must be having twins, looks swollen or has gained weight in her face. Telling her she looks too small only makes her worry that she is somehow starving her baby. Making such comments invite her to critique your physical appearance and you may not act offended. The only acceptable comment on appearance is ‘You look fabulous!’.

6. By the time we are 20-30 years old, most of us have picked up on the fact that the summer is hot and winter is cold. We are hot/cold every summer/winter when we are not pregnant. We don’t need you to point out that we will be miserably hot or cold before the baby comes. Nor do we need to know how badly you will feel for us because we will be pregnant during the summer/winter and how glad you are that YOU will not be pregnant this coming summer/winter.

7. There is a reason that tickets to Labor & Delivery are not yet sold on Ticketmaster. Childbirth is actually not a public event. It may sound crazy, but some women really do not relish the idea of their mother, MIL, or a host of other family members seeing their bare butt and genitals. Also, some people simply feel like the birth of their child is a private and emotional moment to be shared only by the parents. You weren’t invited to be there when the baby was created, you probably won’t be invited to be there when it comes out either.

8. Like everything else in life, unless you receive an invitation, you are NOT invited. This includes doctor appointments, ultrasounds, labor, delivery, the hospital, and the parent’s home. You do not decide if you will be there for the birth or if you will move in with the new parents to ‘help out’. If your assistance is desired, rest assured that you will be asked for it.

9. If you are asked to help after the birth, this means you should clean up the house, help with cooking meals, and generally stay out of the way. Holding the baby more than the parents, interfering with breastfeeding and sleeping schedules, and making a woman who is still leaking fluid from multiple locations lift a finger in housework is not helping.

10. The only people entitled to time with the baby are the parents. Whether they choose to have you at the hospital for the birth or ask for you to wait three weeks to visit, appreciate that you are being given the privilege of seeing their child. Complaining or showing disappointment only encourages the parents to include you less.

I love reading blogs of other Mommies they inspire me and at times baffle me at all they can get done in 24 hours. Some day I want to be Super Mommy when I grow up...my kids my be grown by then but at least I have a goal right??

The latest greatest idea I've seen is 'Dear So & So' from the blog 3 Bedroom Bungalow pretty much every Friday she (and lots of her friends) write letters and let their inner evil out...I wanna play! Yeah I know its Tuesday but I'm a rebel that way and honestly with the preggo brain problems I have I'll forget on Friday =0) forgive me if its long I have a lot to get out- so here we go!

Dear Snow,

Go away, thank you. I've had enough! You were pretty at first but after a week of being snowed in I'm over it. I see that you want to visit again tomorrow and I'd really like to cancel our date. You also tend to over excite the weathermen, then in turn inturupt my beloved 'stories' hour's before you are due to arrive to let me know just how bad you are going to be to my plans and when you will get here...go bother someone else!

I'm so not drinking or cleaning with that! Oh yesterday when I finally got around to bleaching the tub and tub toys was it really the time to start backing up water in my tub, toilet and floor? Really I could have done with out cleaning it all twice. Oh and that cute game we played at 1:00 am this morning when the water again backed up in the toilet and the tub and then overflowed the toilet soaking my bathroom floor- you win, I give- no rematch pretty please?

The Mommy Preggo Running to the Bathroom

Dear Everyone Who Wants to Know The Babies Name,

I'm not tellin'! You can't make me, you can suffer for the next 7 weeks...okay so not really. I'm not tellin' because I have no idea, mainly. We are kicking around three names, and I'm going to have to look and her before I choose, I work best under pressure- I need a deadline.

Also I'd really like it if everyone could keep their thoughts on my names to themselves, telling me how much you dislike a name makes me cranky no matter who you are- and more likely to use it just 'cause you don't want me too. Most of you have had your children already this one is mine, I've earned it, I'll name her whatever I like. If you don't like it, well I really don't care I'm not asking your permission or for your approval I'm just letting you know!

:::I mean that in the most loving way a hormonal woman can:::

After a few wonderful previews of names early on and your reactions you will all find out after I have her, I figure its harder to tell me how much you hate her name if I'm holding her at the time...should you still feel the need to make unhelpful comments you will find yourself at the end of the visitation list...oh and food for thought I really don't care who you knew with that name that you disliked, if you think it sounds like (insert phrase of your choice- an old lady, a stripper, a cemetery, a nut house, a boys name, etc) if you think it flows, or if you think you have a better name for her....you don't, I'm cranky please don't push me or I may rename you ::insert evil laugh here:: The only appropriate reaction is "what a lovely name" even if you don't agree just go with it.

I'm baaaacccckkkk.....

Did anyone miss me? Sometimes it feels like I'm blogging to myself....that's okay its kinda like my family I talk and nobody listens. However this is better because you can't talk back- okay technically you could use the comment button to let me know your thoughts but I can delete them...I'm mad with power I tell ya!

After being sick way too long my boys are feeling better! We did end up getting a large snow storm last week but no pictures were taken due to the fact we were all too sick to go out in it. The boys begged and stared longingly at all of the wonderful 8 inches of snow we got, I got to play mean Mommy and tell them no way! School was called Tuesday - Friday which was nice because Jaxon and Brett were too sick to go anyways. Jaxon ran a fever for 10 days he ended up with strep, scarlet fever, and a virus. Poor little guy lost about 5 lbs and he has none to loose! This is what he looked like a few days into the illness it was actually getting better at this point-

His face was really bad but between him shivering and not having my flash up I couldn't get a good pic of it.

Brett & I are still not feeling 100% but the fever is over so thank goodness for that! I'll start back on my pictures again. I think I'll start doing a 7 day wrap up instead of a post each day .... 'cause we all know how good I am at posting everyday =0P.

Sickies...

That's what we all are in the Hill household! Jaxon got sick last Saturday with Strep, I took him to the doctor and he was put on antibiotics. It was a lovely 4 hour stay with a puking session as soon as we got there. He seemed fine besides a soar throat, no fever, but pretty bad drainage.

Then Wednesday he started running a fever of 103 and Cade got sick too, mostly just drainage and fever. I already had doctors appointments for them on Friday and after our less than stellar urgent care visit on Sunday we just waited to see their doctor. Had I only known the joy that would bring I would have just gone to urgent care!

I had to haul myself and both sick boys over to the doctor I got there at 12:30 was finally taken back at 1:30, Cade was shaking the whole time saying "don't shoot me!" He wouldn't even tell us what hurt for fear of a shot. He had an ear infection but not strep. Half way through Cade's exam they had a fire drill...we had to stand outside for ten minutes waiting for the drill to end...then started the ordeal of getting Cade back in the room to finish.

They then sent us to the lab...the LAB...for blood work and a urine sample.Blood work that I promised wouldn't happen! After a lengthy wait we get called back- I did not tell them what we were doing, Jaxon thought it was just Cade getting work done. Cade went first (I believe the nurse's ears are still ringing from his screams) he lost his mind, shaking, screaming and all that. Which in turn freaked Jaxon out he was shaking and had huge tears streaming down his face before she even touched him! After she stuck him he looked at me and said "that didn't hurt!"

After that lovely experience the lead us to a large bathroom where I had to help them pee in a cup...I was very clear that this is only to be done at the doctor- this freaked them out as well. Did I mention they are deathly afraid of the sound of flushing public toilets? Cade literally will crawl up you shaking. It was an automatic flusher- it flushed 8 times before we were done...my nerves at this point was shot!

Next we went back to the doctors office to wait for Jaxon's flu swab, and the blood tests for Mono. Well poor Jaxon got so worked up at the Lab he started throwing up in the waiting room- thank goodness we were near a trash can- and after that no one was crowding us lol!!
We waited another hour for test results, Cade slept and Jaxon fretted that he was going to be sick again.

Finally they called us up - no mono, no flu, and oh now you can go to the pharmacy and wait again for thirty minutes. We finally made it out we were all starving and they kids wanted happy meals so off to McDonalds we went. Jaxon was able to eat three bites of a burger- first he's really ate since Saturday.

We got home took our meds- and then Cade threw up all the meds and food he'd had....I broke down. I was soo tired and stressed I just took him to get cleaned up, and had Brett clean up. Later he managed to keep his meds down but it was a fight. I was exhausted!

Saturday brought its own joys- Brett and I both now are sick. Being sick and pregnant is no fun- you don't get anything really but Tylenol and Benadryl which I can't take during the day because it knocks me out!

Jaxon has missed a whole week of school, and will likely miss Monday as his fever was still 101 today and the rule is they have to be fever free for 24 hours without meds before they can come back to school- which I do like. Keeps people from sending their sick kids to school. Then we are expected to get ice and snow Monday night so school maybe called for that lol!! Poor kiddo he even had to miss his party at school on Friday.

Needless to say there will be a delay in pictures being posted!

So I didn't take this one but isn't this pretty? I love the canopy over the crib...may have to use this in our room for over the babies crib. I have chandelier in the area the crib goes kinda like this one...and maybe the wall decal centered over the crib =0) The stripes won't be happening no way will Brett paint our room so we'll just put some beadboard up as an accent behind the crib and stay with our green walls- which I like anyways.

So here is yesterdays picture and today! First I wanted to take a picture of the baby blanket I bought our new baby girl. Its so soft its a minky fabric on one side and satin on the other. So sweet! I can't wait to wrap her up in it. While taking it I saw this hanging from my camera strap-

We had planned to be in Disney World over our Christmas break however due to some problems with our car we never really figured out - gotta love it when your told that it might be a sensor but they really don't know what's wrong- and me just not feeling like walking all that much we canceled and plan to take the boys and our lil princess in 2012.

Turns out that canceling was a good call, Brett took me to Canton, TX this past weekend and after four hours of waddling around I was in PAIN! My hips choose to start spreading then and wow that was fun! I would have been so sad to have that happen in Florida. Plus did you see the weather down there? 20 degrees? Did no one get the memo that is warm and sunny in Fl? I'm very glad we didn't tell the boys about the trip - it was to be a Christmas surprise- so they weren't mad or sad we didn't go.

I must say I'm not enjoying the insomnia that I am having guess I'll try to get some sleep - *night*

Woot!! Made it to day two- hey its the small things that make me happy these days. Here's a shot of Cade (after bed time) we heard him in there making all kinds of noises at 9:30 an hour after he went to bed-

Yup that's my little gamer- oh and can you tell Daddy 'made' his bed? Sigh I'll be redoing it tomorrow! Cade is such a little stinker! Oh well he's at least in his bed which is an improvement.

Happy New Year everyone! I'm hoping 2011 will be a great year! Just got home from a shopping trip with my hubby so its off to a great start! I'm *planning* on doing my 365 blog again this year - hopefully it will be complete this time lol! So here's picture number one-

Yes its of my dog but in all fairness my babies aren't home tonight- and can you see my beautiful kitchen floor in the reflection? No you don't? Oh well could be because its still plywood! I am hopeful Brett will finish the floor and get the new one installed by the end of the week....hint hint hint!

Anyways she' looks pretty comfy in her house under the heat lamp- its the first time this winter she's gotten in the house bother her and Duke have been laying directly under the lamp on the porch - silly dogs!

This week I'm fixing lots of goodies for Christmas! So far I've made chocolate covered peanut clusters. Easy peasy! Just melt the chocolate and dump the roasted peanuts in mix and drop on wax paper. I didn't take pictures of that because honestly I just thought about posting my recipes and pictures today lol! So today I made Tiger Butter Fudge! I'm not much of a fudge person but this is the creamiest easiest fudge ever!! I had a helper in Cade today although he wanted to eat a cupcake from Walmart instead of the wonderful candy I was making- such is life.

Here are the ingredients you need- all three of them!

1lb White Chocolate

1lb Semisweet Chocolate

1 1/3 cups Peanut Butter ( I use creamy but the original calls for crunchy)

Cade was tired of posing for the camera and claimed he was 'invisible'.

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in thirty second intervals. After heating for 1 minute add the peanut butter and continue melting and stirring every thirty seconds till melted like this-

Line a pan with foil, I grease mine not sure if you have to or not. But better safe than sorry lol!!

When the white chocolate and peanut butter is all melted, add the semisweet chocolate to a bowl and about a tbsp of shortening. This increases the fat which helps the chocolate melt smoother, stir easily, and gives it a nice gloss. Some people use a little butter, but since the water content in butter or margarine can be high, it may make your chocolate seize! Hope this tip helps!!

Melt the chips in 1 minute intervals mixing after, until smooth.

Pour the white chocolate and peanut butter mixture in the pan, Pour melted semi-sweet chocolate over top and swirl through with a knife, to create a marble pattern. Chill until firm. Cut into pieces.

I like to take mine out and cut into pieces while still slightly warm and then chill. Cutting it after it has cooled caused the tops to crack and the appearance was not as nice.

Now try not to eat it all yourself!!

I sure hope Eddies sugar coating the boys behavior reports to Santa....because they are really close to getting coal! I think we might make it to Christmas but only time will tell! I lost my camera for a few days so Eddie wasn't photographed in Jaxon's room on the Godzilla bank, in Cade's room playing with toys, in my bedroom hanging from my bird cage (decoration only lol) or in the kitchen. He was caught hanging in the front room-

And up above the cabinets in the kitchen riding on the sleigh with a snowman!

Our favorite elf got caught being naught last week! He thought the tree was a bit bare so he livened it up a bit with some underwear! The boys loved this trick last year so much he thought he'd repeat it!

He was also found kicked back in our wreath.

Up on our shelf waving the boys Medieval Times flag, and then later that night the boys gave

him our letters to Santa! They were so excited to get a letter back from the big guy himself!

He was found under our tree- sweet little guy he dug out the tree skirt-

since Mommy had been to lazy! He passed his time playing with the boys hulk figures!

He was also found weighing himself in the kitchen on my display scale!

Gotta watch those holiday pounds!

There are only 13 days until Christmas!!! Is your shopping done? I think I'm done for the most part, still need a few stocking stuffers for the boys then they are done! I'm always watching Amazon for great deals on toys! If you don't check amazon out you should, I've saved so much money shopping on there these past few years! I just returned Jaxon's main gift he asked for to ToysRus, I paid $54.99 a few weeks ago and got it on amazon for $29.99!! Also no tax or shipping on Amazon- woot! I got some great buys for our angel tree child as well last year by shopping the sales I was able to give more for the same amount!

Oh I just remembered I do need to do my shopping for Brett but I couldn't do that today since he was driving me around lol! Normally I like to go Christmas shopping without him but its getting harder to get around these days! I'm 24 weeks along about 5.5 months and starting to feel it! Here's a pic- not the best I took it with the computer hehe! I'm showing my bump and my new hair do!

We have such a busy week ahead! I'm going to pick up my Christmas chocolate for my candy on Monday- I must use a certain kind, totally makes the candy! The stuff they sell at walmart is not as good as this kind trust me! Cade and I make it a fun day we drive to Pauls Valley and pick it up and do lunch at Mcdonalds, also gotta check out their Walmart. Perhaps pick up some of Daddies stocking stuffers and maybe a few of mine as well...hey sometimes the man needs a little help! Wednesday Jaxon's class is caroling around Ada, Thursday I have an ultrasound and doctors appointment, and Friday is the last day of school party. I think I'm making cookies for that lol.

I can't wait for Christmas I know the boys are going to adore their gifts and it so fun to see the joy in their faces during the season. I'm so blessed to have such sweet little boys to share my life with...the big one isn't so bad either- most the time... I kid I kid.

He hid in my flowers, they are perfect elf camo so he's hard to find!

He came back from the north pole with candy canes filled with kisses.

He also tried to help decorate the tree!

He hid in the kitchen and was caught trying to smuggle a Christmas Tree Cake back to Santa.

This pregnancy is kicking my butt! I can't keep up with the 365 anymore, I do hope to post once a week or so. I'm 12 weeks now, I've had two ultrasounds, the last one was Monday. When we peeked at the baby it had its little hand up on its forehead and you could count all the fingers! Soooo sweet.

Jaxon is really enjoying school, and is looking forward to the grandparents day program coming up. We made him a homemade insturment- a drum- and Cade was soo mad when we took it to school. Guess I'll be making another one for Cade. Cade is being a sweet little guy as normal, I'm really him during these last months of him being the 'baby'. He is really excited about the baby and asks about it all the time.

Brett is keeping busy writing articles for a local paper - sports section of course- he has been covering OU and OSU. His first game was OU vs. Florida State, he was excited to get in for free and to sit in the press box- the free coke and cookies didn't hurt either. He has gone to OSU vs TU and just got approved for OU vs TX! He is on cloud nine to get to go for free, he's never got to go before- no way could we afford those high ticket prices! I'm excited for him.

I'm hoping to get my fall decorations out soon, I'll post pictures when I do. I really need a shot of energy I'm so sleepy most of the time and nauseous, except at bedtime when I need to sleep...guess I better get used to little to no sleep...

We went to the lake this weekend with Kim and Barry. The boys had a great time and so did we!

The boys wanted to sleep in the front room on the pull out couch so they could watch a movie, in the middle of the night I heard a frantic - Mommy Mommy! as they ran down the hall. They ended up in our bed..I slept on the other side of Jaxon...notice how much more room they gave Daddy.

I'm redoing my desk, I got this when I was little from my Aunt Christi. Its been through alot with me and my brother to say the least. I saw wanted to put it in my new craft area in my laundry room but I wanted to redo it. This is my first time to repaint furniture. Here is the before picture.

I have been wanting to paint one of my doors black for a while, I really like the look. However since my front screen door is black I'm decided to leave the wooden door behind it red and move on to my laundry room door.

I've been redoing my laundry room, its in a kinda weird location. Its connected to my kitchen but not accessible from the house you have to go out the side door out onto the carport then turn immediately and go in the door to the laundry room. Its blah, stuffed with junk and I want to redo it and make it into my craft room as well. This was my first improvement- ignore the yucky floor its the last thing I'm going to paint so it should be done next July *sigh* at least I'm honest with myself lol!

So here is my door- no before pictures- I know I know, sue me. The door was white.

I noticed my wreath needs to be 'fluffed' and went to do so and found that a bunch of dirt dobbers had made a nice home in it, they did not want it messed with....I complied. I am terrifed of bees and wasps of any kind and theses little buggers look alot like wasps and freak me out...I'm still not certain they wouldn't sting you though everyone assures me they won't, I'll play it safe =0)

Then I got to thinking I might like this on the door instead...

Then I put it back on my front door because I like it there better. I really like the knob its glass, so cute, but wouldn't photograph well. What do you think?
